Plant Controller

PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Plant Controller provides financial leadership to the Tallmadge Plant.
This position will be accountable for driving results to the segment manufacturing financial leader.
The Plant Controller will be responsible for maintaining a control environment that complies with the Company's internal control policies and Sarbanes Oxley.
The Plant Controller is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management.
This individual will also be responsible for leadership of non-financial plant administrative processes such as sourcing, materials/production planning, IT, and security.

Plant Leader JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilitiesEnsures a culture which enables a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors and visitorsShows passion and caring for our people, and leads from a place of safetyImportant part and mentor of the PIV safety program as Warehouse LeaderEnsuring a safe, clean environmentally compliant work environment and building a culture where safety is the first priority Operations Planning and Plant ProcessesParticipates in the development of operational objectives for the plant that are aligned to Corporate and Division strategic objectivesLeads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial results and shareholder value is optimized Financial and Operational ControlsEnsures that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.
)Drives a robust representation letter process that provides assurance and visibility to a sound internal control environmentLeads the Continuous sign-off process to ensure that accountability for internal controls is clear and that processes are documented Reporting & AnalysisLeads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processesPrepares and delivers the plant financial forecasts and projections to Plant LeaderMonitors the plant's monthly closing process in conjunction with the Accounting teamCommunicates results effectively to management and non-financial personnelProvides in-depth analysis on variances to plan and forecast with the Plant Leader as well as holding leadership accountable to plant budget.
Provides risk analysis for contingency planning Driving plant profitabilityLeads actions in line with achieving targets, mitigating risk and prioritizing resource needsLeads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial results and shareholder value is optimized.

Performance management with WHS and Sourcing teams as well as year-end merit review process.
Front line leader engagement and development with specific goals - Buyer, Receiver, Sr.
WHS Group Leader, WHS Group Leader.
Acts as a resource to the non-financial leaders of the business providing education and training on the key principles of FinanceInvests in the growth and development of their direct reports and other identified talent in the organizationEnsures development plans are in place for key roles Leadership for the oversight and accountability of plant securityEnsures the delegation and successful completion of site security functions, included but not limited to:
Managing/implementing OC Security Standards, quarterly assessment of security equipment, security capital project management, incident investigation coordination (contact for local authorities, communication with WHQ), talent management of security guards, site contact for security badges, audits and visits, and monitor completion of WHQ required training.
JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline a , CMA, CPA preferred.
Operating in a range of economic conditions, i.
e.
expansion, contraction, stable economic conditions-forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis and contingency development.
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles-understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics PREFERRED
Experience:
Providing leadership to organizations within a manufacturing operation(s)-leading operations planning, savings, forecasting and investment analysisDelivering continuous improvement.
Participating in the development of strategic plans.
Negotiating, developing and evaluating customer and supplier contractsAttracting, developing and retaining outstanding talent-growing talent and succession planning.
Demonstrated high growth in previous experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate in simple, impacting termsDemonstrated ability to manage and control costs-effectively develops business cases and enroll leaders at all levels in taking appropriate action.
Demonstrated ability to develop an intimate knowledge of customers, competition, and the market and uses this knowledge to drive customer and product profitability decisions.
